We’re delighted Hutt Sounds returns to Brewtown in March 2024 with a huge lineup of 80s legends.

Chairs are welcome. A standing area will be in front of the stage. Behind the standing area will be designated zones in the field for low backed chairs and picnic blankets; and high-backed chairs.

Important Info

Entry & Concert Times

  • Gates open at 2:00pm

  • Presale Early Bird access is from 1:30pm (check your ticket - Early Bird ticket holders only)

  • Have your ticket ready to be scanned (either on your phone, or a print-out)

  • Our first artist is on at 2.15pm and is the NZ legend Rikki Morris. We then rock to Choirboys, Mockers, Nik Kershaw and Go West, before headliners The Human League conclude the festival, finishing at 8.40pm.

  • No entry after 6pm.

  • There are no pass-outs. Once you’re in you’re in, if you leave you won’t be able to come back.

 

General information

  • Blankets and foldable chairs are welcome, because this year Hutt Sounds takes place on Brewtown's field to make room for the huge international concert stage!

  • A standing area will be in the front (nearest the stage), followed by zones for low backed chairs and picnic blankets, then a zone for high-backed chairs.

  • No large furniture, gazebos, tables, beach umbrellas, or chilly bins are permitted.

  • Dress for the weather, the concert will continue rain or shine.

  • Animals will not be permitted into the event site (except certified disability assist dogs).

  • This is an all-ages concert.

 

Beverages & Food

  • No BYO Food or Drink

  • Empty water bottles are allowed. There is plenty of free drinking water available in the venue. No camelbaks.

  • This is a cashless event. Payments must be via EFTPOS/Credit Card for drinks, food, and awesome merchandise from the bands!

  • Our beverage selection includes beers from Brewtown breweries, wines from Matahiwi Estate, a range of spirit RTDs, low alcoholic beer, and a selection of non-alcoholic beers, cocktails and sodas.

  • Food items include smoked meats, burgers, hot chips, sushi burritos, rotis, Indian street food, and more from a range of local food trucks.

  • Venues are required by law to refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated.

  • Alcohol will not be served to anyone who is intoxicated.

  • Alcohol will not be served to minors. No ID - No Service - No Exceptions

 

Transport

  • If you are using the train, get off at Upper Hutt Station and walk to the Blenheim Street entrance for Brewtown. Just a 7 min walk.  Check out the train timetable here. There is an extra train service to get you home, departing Upper Hutt at 9.30pm.

  • A drop off zone (including taxis and uber) will be set up on Goodshed Road, just a 2minute walk from the Brewtown main gate.

  • For sober drivers, there will be parking available via Railway Ave, as well as plenty of parking on the surrounding streets (refer to the map below). 

  • Accessible parking is available outside the event for accessible parking permit holders only.

  • Plan for your transport home, and don’t drink and drive.
